New Screens For Darrington

Finedoor have recently supplied three screens to Darrington Quarries Ltd which is part of the Waste Recycling Group. The company based at Pontefract, West Yorkshire, operates from six locations the largest of which is the Darrington site. The quarry has a magnesian limestone deposit and operates twin production plants which supply local Yorkshire markets and produce 400,000 tonnes per annum.
In an ongoing replacement screen programme, Finedoor supplied three 6.1 x 1.5m x two deck screens, producing graded products from sand to 63 mm. All were supplied with grease lubricated bearings, v-belt drive off a suitable electric motor and support structures. The whole replacement project was installed and commissioned by Finedoor engineers.
Bob Binstead, Director, commented "Virtually no downtime has been experienced with these screens since they were installed. They are simple to maintain."
