Morley based company, Finedoor have recently completed a contract to supply a replacement screen for Brett Hall Aggregates.
Brett Hall Aggregates is a joint venture between Brett Aggregates and CEMEX who maintain a marine terminal at Dover where they process marine dredged aggregate.

Operating in excess of 100 tph the plant's main purpose is to wash, screen and grade the incoming material which is delivered to the site by a fleet of barges operated by CEMEX Marine and Brittania Aggregates.

The project required the replacement of a 3-deck and a single-deck aggregate screen at the plant that had suffered catastrophic failure due to age.
Having successfully been awarded the project Finedoor replaced the two screens with one 7.3m x 1.8m, two-deck screen. The decision to replace the old screens with one larger screen was based on the new screen being more economical, providing equal performance, and easier maintenance.

This new screen is fitted with polyurethane modular screen panels and a spray bar system on both decks. Additionally, Finedoor also installed a spray bar system on the feed chute providing a pre-wash before the materials are fed onto the screen.
A new v-belt motor drive, new chutework and support structures completed the project. All design, installation and integration into the existing structure was completed by Finedoor.

Three products are produced by the plant, a +10mm and +20mm material and a sand which are sold to Cemex, Brett Readymix concrete plants and local markets.

Bob Jones - Unit Manager, commented, "Finedoor handled the project in a very professional manner; after final modifications have been made the tonnage will be in excess of 150 tph providing a 50% increase on the old units"
